Mighty Men of Valor Revisit Kersey Children’s Home, Ogbomoso
24 June 2025
Today, Pastor Manny Newton of Mighty Men of Valor, accompanied by 2 of his sons, visited Kersey Children’s Home in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, following a conversation with the matron, Mrs. Oyelade, who highlighted urgent needs at the orphanage. The home, one of the oldest in West Africa , cares for vulnerable children but requires immediate support to improve living conditions.
During the visit, Pastor Manny identified three critical areas for intervention:
- Repainting: Five rooms with peeling and worn-out walls need refurbishment to create a safer, brighter environment for the children.
- Equipment Repairs: The home’s broken kitchen refrigerator and generator—essential for food storage and power supply—require urgent fixing .
- Kitchen Upgrade: The damaged wooden kitchen counter must be replaced to ensure hygienic meal preparation .
This visit aligns with Mighty Men of Valor’s efforts to support Kersey Children’s Home, which has previously benefited from donations of food, medical care, and supplies . Pastor Manny encouraged supporters to watch the visit’s videos for further insights and to join hands in addressing these needs.
