MMOV SUPPORT INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS (IDPs) & INDIGENT NURSING STUDENTS IN AFRICA
Mighty Men of Valor (MMOV), a faith-based charity based in Pennsylvania, USA, launched its annual activities for 2026 with impactful humanitarian outreach in Benue State, Nigeria, Africa.
Led by President Emmanuel George, a dedicated team of committed MMOV members brought hope from afar to support vulnerable communities, embodying the organization’s mission to uplift “the least of these” through acts of compassion and faith-inspired service.
From February 10–12, the team visited the Ortese IDP (Internally Displaced Persons) camp in Guma Local Government Area. This camp, home to thousands displaced by ongoing conflicts and attacks in the region, welcomed the visitors warmly.
Despite logistical challenges, the group braved the journey to deliver essential aid and encouragement.
The IDPs expressed deep elation and gratitude for the support from these committed members coming all the way from Pennsylvania, highlighting the profound cross-continental solidarity and hope provided.
On February 14–16, activities shifted to Gboko Local Government Area, where the team visited 16 students supported through MMOV scholarships at a nursing school. This engagement focused on monitoring their progress, offering mentorship, and reinforcing educational empowerment as a pathway to self-reliance and community development.
These initiatives underscore MMOV’s commitment to humanitarian relief, education, and spiritual encouragement in challenging environments, fostering lasting positive change.
