Bradford Woods Community Center (BWCC)

A plot of land has been purchased in Sanyang and Gunjur province of The Gambia. Here,
MMOV plans to build a center of excellence. We plan to teach marketable skills throughout the
community of The Gambia.

Learning practical life skills fosters self-reliance, problem-solving abilities, and a sense of
accomplishment. This can boost confidence and empower individuals to navigate life’s
challenges more effectively. Aside from the curriculum, students have the opportunity to gain
more than technical instruction. Through workshops, group activities, and interaction with
peers, individuals can develop communication skills, teamwork abilities, and build healthy
social relationships. Also, after completing a program, members can rest assured – they will have
gained the tools they need to secure employment and advance their careers as well.
Financial hardship may pose an issue for some. However, the costs associated with this training will
be diminished or waived, on a case-by-case basis.

● Catering
● Soap/ Creaming making
● Barbering / Cosmetology / Makeup design

Overall, community centers that teach life skills play crucial roles in empowering individuals,
strengthening families, and fostering a more productive and uplifting community. Consider
